Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 Setup Instructions
1. Home Page Address
- Select the Tools menu.
- Select Internet Options.
- Set the Home page Address field to http://www.i.net.au

2. Configuring the Proxy Server
- No longer required
- If you currently have a proxy selected please remove it

3. Set up your Internet Mail
- Run Outlook Express.
- Select the Tools menu, then Accounts.
- Press the Mail page tab.
- Any currently configured mail accounts will be listed. These can be accessed by highlighting the account and selecting the Properties button, as shown below.
- To add a new mail account, choose Add then Mail.
- Enter in your name and press Next.
- Your email address is your username followed by @i.net.au Eg. username@i.net.au
(Note: If you have your own domain name, your email address may be different)
- Click Next.
- The incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- The Incoming mail server is mail.i.net.au
- The Outgoing mail server is mail.i.net.au
- Click Next.
- Enter your username in the Account name field.
- Enter your password.
- The Log on using Secure Password Authentication should NOT be ticked.
- Click Next and then Finish.

4. Set up the News Server
- Press the News page tab.
- Any currently configured news accounts will be listed. These can editing by highlighting the account and selecting the Properties button, as shown below.
- To add a new news server, choose Add then News.
- Enter in your name and press Next.
- Your email address is your username followed by @i.net.au Eg. username@i.net.au
(Note: If you have your own domain name, your email address may be different)
- The News Server Name is news.i.net.au
- Click Next and then Finish.
